JBoss Innovation Award Winners

Raven Zachary, April 25, 2006 @ 8:56 pm ET

JBoss announced the winners of its first annual “JBoss Innovation Awards” today. I thought that was going to be announced at JBoss World in June? I was mistaken - it looks like the ceremony is planned for JBoss World. The early announcement would presumably encourage the winners to attend for the awards ceremony. I was one of the judges, but after joining The 451 Group in February, I resigned due to our principles & ethics policies. The list of winners and honorable mentions is too long to list here. Go check out the press release if you are interested.

We wanted to inform the category winners in advance so that they could plan ahead to come to JBoss World. The category winners will present in a special Innovation Award track at JBoss World - with the overall Innovator of the Year being selected by the attendees of the conference. There will be a special awards ceremony towards the end of the conference where all 11 category winners will receive recognition including an award and the overall Innovator of the Year will be named. In addition, Marc Fleury will be traveling to the main development site for the overall Innovator of the Year to take the development team out to dinner. That’s one of the more interesting perks for winning.

Hi Rebecca - thank you for the comment. I’ll be in Las Vegas to check it out, in person.
