Compiere hires community liason

Raven Zachary, November 20, 2006 @ 11:10 pm ET

Fellow Portland resident and vegan, Dawn Foster, has joined Compiere as the company’s Director of Community and Partner Programs (see blog post.) She will be working out of Portland, Compiere’s prior home. The company has since moved to Silicon Valley after an infusion of venture capital from NEA. Community has been somewhat of a controversy at Compiere recently, as members of the Compiere development community forked the project and renamed it ‘ADempiere‘. The forked project is now the third most active project at SourceForge. If anyone can reach out to former members of the Compiere developer comunity and make amends, it’s Dawn. Good luck with the new gig, Dawn!
