CIGNEX obtains funding

CIGNEX Technologies, an open source systems integrator based in Santa Clara, CA, announced a few weeks ago that it had closed a round of funding, although the amount was not publicly disclosed (press release). Participating in the round were Apar Investments, Basil International Investments, and Honorex Investments Holdings.

It was just over a year ago that I spent the day at CIGNEX’s headquarters covering the Goldegg code sprint for Enterprise Open Source Journal (pre-451 days). CIGNEX has been active in supporting the open source project, Plone, as an enterprise content management platform.
