Concurrent announces new $10m line of credit

Raven Zachary, December 22, 2006 @ 7:20 pm ET

Concurrent, the suppliers of real time technology in Novell’s SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time edition, announced today that it has secured a $10m line of credit from Silicon Valley Bank for future expansion activities (press release). Concurrent is a publicly-traded company (NASDAQ: CCUR), hence the line of credit and not a VC funding round. The partnership with Novell for SUSE Real Time was announced in January 2006. Concurrent had previously worked with Red Hat.

The Concurrent line of credit announcement today reminded me that I needed to get the CIGNEX and Solid funding announcements posted (the prior two blog entries) before the holiday break.
