Digium names new CEO to guide growth

, January 31, 2007 @ 2:30 pm ET

Digium, which sells open source telephony products based on Asterisk, has named a new CEO (press release). Danny Windham, former president, COO and director of Adtran, has been named to the CEO post. Steve Harvey, former VP of channel sales and competitive service providers for Adtran, has been named VP of worldwide sales. Mark Spencer, founder and former president of Digium, becomes chairman and CTO. The management move was made so that Spencer can dedicate more time to the technologies, while giving Digium a management team that can grow the business. Digium recently raised $13.8m in VC cash, led by Matrix Partners.
