Black Duck raises $12m in new funding round

Black Duck Software, a software compliance management company known for its open source code functionality, announced last week that it had secured $12m in its Series C funding round (press release). This round was led by Focus Ventures, with involvement by previous investors Fidelity Ventures, Flagship Ventures, General Catalyst, Intel Capital, and SAP Ventures. This brings the total amount of funding raised by Black Duck to at least $29m, including $12m in Series B (June 2005) and $5m in Series A (July 2004).
