Fonality raises $7m in new funding round

Raven Zachary, February 21, 2007 @ 9:43 pm ET

Fonality, an open source telephony company, announced a few weeks ago that it had secured $7m in its Series C funding round (press release). The round includes a new investmenty by Intel Capital, with participation from existing investor, Azure Capital. This brings the total amount of funding raised by Fonality to $12.5m, having raised $5m in its Series B funding round in January 2006 from Azure Capital and individual investors (thus, we can assume that $500k in individual investments constituted the Series A round).

I’m getting caught up on blog entries and this one slipped through the cracks, hence the two-week delay on getting it posted.
