Death threats for Kathy Sierra

Rachel Chalmers, March 26, 2007 @ 3:46 pm ET

In January Kathy Sierra of Creating Passionate Users gave a keynote speech that was the talk of Linux Conf Au. Unfortunately, she won’t be providing the same inspiration to attendees at Etech: here’s why.

“My first reaction–and probably yours–is to think, “Of course he doesn’t actually mean it.” But the “funny” thing about crossing the line from criticism to suggestion of death is that your mind starts to wander…”

This casts our industry in a pretty sad light. I hope Kathy gets enough support and encouragement to carry on her fascinating and influential work.
