Yesterday, there were three significant open source related M&A announcements – a merger and two acquisitions. I listed these in the 451 CAOS Links post already, but they are deserving of a unique post. A quick summary…

Yahoo! Announces Agreement to Acquire Zimbra, Yahoo (Press Release)

Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO), a leading global Internet company, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Zimbra, Inc. (www.zimbra.com), a leader in next generation e-mail and collaboration software. Under the terms of the agreement, Yahoo! will acquire Zimbra for approximately $350 million.

Univa and United Devices Merge, Univa / United Devices (Press Release)
