The South East Texas Record reports that a company called IP Innovation LLC has filed suit against Red Hat and Novell for infringement of US Patent No 5,072,412, which covers “a User Interface with Multiple Workspaces for Sharing Display System Objects”.

As you might expect, Groklaw has the paperwork, and is already joining the dots to make a link to Microsoft. The search for prior art has begun.
