		<description>There is no way in the world Oracle would do that. Even if it could the loss of goodwill would be enormous, and the benefit to Oracle would be minimal (the same goes for some of the other theoretical things Oracle could do noted above actually).</description>

		<description>What if Oracle decided to revoke the GPL license? There is no provision on term or revocation in the GPL2 text - in principle revocation is possible, at least in many jurisdictions, if there is no specific provision. It would make also the life of the community project very difficult. 

One thing is certain, if Oracle gets MySQL: the strategy announced by Mårten Mickos will change. It was that MySQL would reduce the database market size by 90% and own 50% of the remaining market.</description>
